Taking a Seat

Taking a Seat

A Poem by Laura Kate

Sitting on the wall of self-reflection
realising truths that hadn't been
fear that acknowledging their existence
forces them deeper into reality

water welcomes sparkles on its surface
catching the sun's illuminous glow
faith flows freely among it
till there's no-where further to go

once the sparkles dissipate into the vastness
in calm waters recognition re-appears
eyes open the greatness up above us
and see the space held between each ear

An easily read poem, smooth I say. And I'd have to say that the last line took me by surprise; I had to think about it for a time. :)
