Mornings with Him

'Good morning'

he whispered.

Rays of silk-blush pink glistened through the air

and the first petal began to unfold

revealing the lotus' shimmers of

kaleidoscope colours, 

penetrating the boundless space. 

He woke me every morning this way

the lotus unveiled herself one petal at a time,

little by little, revealing her heavenly shine.

It was morning again 

a thousand mornings in just one day

- in just two hours

silk-blush pink had flooded the skies

kaleidoscope colours reflected,

refracting glistening shimmers 

of the lotus' dew

 pure, clean and blue.

I really like the strong scent of this piece...the Him could be God or a significant other who creates, warmth, sunshine and feelings of comfort.
I think of the Beatles' song "Good morning" from Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band...

One of my favorite songs on that album, along with "Getting Better" and "Fixin' a hole" where the rain gets in, and stops my mind from wondering where it will go.
how knows where our minds will go....and music takes us wherever it is.
