Acceptance

Acceptance

A Poem by Laura Kate

I heard my heart letting out a cry

as it listened to its mind

telling her

I’m sorry, but it really is over this time

- acceptance

An inner conflict portrayed succinctly here. In the struggle between heart and mind, the former often wins, but here the latter has presented irrefutable evidence. Case closed. The heart, when it calms down, should write it off to experience and let it be a spur to growth.

Thank you, Kent. A Happy New Year to you too.
Your short sentiments remind me of how it's harder (in my opinion) to hurt someone by quitting them, than it is to have someone quit me. And I do feel acceptance in the midst of agony (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
