New DaysA Poem by Laura KateHow lucky I feel that I must be to raise my sleeping blinds and see Jack Frost has danced the night away; so I wake to a glistening, crystalline day. What a blessing it is to think, that with the flutter of day's first blink doorways to darkness enslaved swing open so eternal constrictions of night may be broken. Limits may no longer hinder my gaze skies they turn at the brink of new days and I look to them 'till my restless head finds fresh crisp pillows on a sinking bed Wishing ‘goodnight’ to the stars above asking them if I’ll find true love come rain, come fog, come shine or snow may I wake again to a bright tomorrow. © 2020 Laura KateFeatured Review
