A Shadowed MindA Poem by Laura Katethrough the forest of consience a barricade of thoughts, rope entwined branches catch on quickly, linking their overbearing trees casting darkness on our minds, roots multiplying weighing heavy, digging in, aching to penetrate the skull - soul searching, self seeking something from the outside, a solution to sever webbed vines, leaves looking up towards the light forging new ways out, dirty twigs dragged through to the light, to the air above. Soil un-shadowed brain un-burdened warmth, growth, freedom. © 2019 Laura KateFeatured Review
