Where Credit is DueA Poem by Laura KateIt took a long time to pull myself out from the shards in which you left me - all the while you waited observing from afar to see when I’d be ready.
You didn’t too much like that new vase you were in - she had already carved out room she was already too thin. I had already told you that into my home you’ll never be allowed back in. You stayed nearby lurking around the corner, so that you'd be ready to show up when the last piece was glued. Ready to prove how much I needed you, ready to confuse and to trick... hoping I might forget that it was you who watched me fall and believe that I smashed my own vase after all. How dare you. How dare you wait for my last edit and expect that i might let you take all the credit. I built myself back even stronger this time don’t you ever forget it. © 2019 Laura KateReviews
