Sails Hold TightA Poem by Laura KateThank you Edie Starfish for the inspirationSails hold tight against the gales which torture them all through the night. Ripping back and forth they withstand the toils, with not an ear to hear their battle and not an eye to see their plight. An abandoned ship, lost at sea. The light of day shines no direction for the lone sailor trapped in the darkness beheld by the rocks. Looking down to the blackened tides, the quiet waters which may fill his lungs and dampen his soul. May the moon light lift him steadily through the night
and guide the sailor home. © 2019 Laura KateFeatured Review
