Body ImageA Poem by Laura Kate
The pain in her shoulders
from blaming herself that her breasts divert your attention The pressure in her back from not standing tall so that you weren't made to feel small The click in her hip from when the girls used to laugh at her shape as she walked on by if only she knew that hiding for you would damage her posterior chain I hope you feel better now the boys don't look. Did you bond, having a laugh at her expense? Do you feel better hearing your voice so loud, since she lost the energy to shout She doesn't want the attention which leaves her with scars I bet you never thought your actions could be taken this far She may not be the rose you all expected her to be The rose attracts wasps and she only wants bees.
