They tell me that there is someone for everyone

but I'm beginning to think that it's not true

so long since I rested

my head on a shoulder,

so long since I reached for

the base of a neck,

so long since I welcomed

his weight on my breasts

- how long am I to wait

Not all love stories have happy endings, nor do they arrive when we are searching for them. Most happen along when we least expect it...one day a smile will catch your eye...or yours his...and that will be the beginning.
Forcing yourself to love is not love.
This is a very good poem...full of longing and angst...I quite like it.
