Beast within my loverA Poem by *Clare*Paradise was not meant to last forever
We wanted freedom
A life of bliss A life of laughter and pleasure So we ran away to save the love The dark forest our refuge Surrounded by mist Under barren trees Our bare bodies illuminated by the moonlight This wondrous love I'd spend eternity in his arms He reaches over me A pained look on his face Whispers of love A kiss A silver dagger Weapon of protection placed in my hands Paradise was not meant to last forever We thought we could escape. A misconception For tonight the moon will betray And the beast will be released © 2013 *Clare* |
