Love poem #1

Written in jail to my ex.

Everyday and every hour

My love for you grows

It will never sour

I know deep down

You feel the same

And if you didn't

It would be a shame

But truth be told I hope to god

Together we'll grow old

If ever your lost at sea

I want you to know

You'll never be lost to me

I'll search here and there

and high and low

until a sign of you doth show

 

Nothing can break us apart

I've known this from the start

Take you from me they can try

But to loose you

Would be worse then if i were to die

Very romantic :-)

I'm not really a fan of love poems, because I'm not so fond of "mushy" and heart-warming tales.

But this reveals regret, bitterness, and hope. I like the rhyming, becauseit doesn't seem forced, hence it doesn't take away from the poem as a whole.
