Peace at mind

Peace at mind

A Poem by Kimberley Reid
"

This is a poem about whatever you want it to be.

"

The curtains were drawn ages ago,

yet still we do not sleep.

There is just the sound of an owl nearby,

and our breath ever so deep.

We lie awake and gaze,

Our eys lit by nothing but the moon.

Our hearts beating within our chests,

hoping, wishing this doesnt end soon.

Your hand traces my arm,

you smile at my sharp inhale.

I turn of my head,

my smiles so frail.

I dont want it to break,

over a lost dream,

as now Im in the real world,

floating in this profound dream.

You catch my mind so freely,

you captivated me from the start.

And with the night stretching before us,

we dont have to worry about us being apart.
