The Ugly TruthA Poem by Kimberley ReidThis is a very heartfelt and dark poem. Enjoy. Also has a lot of swear words.Looking in the mirror, I hate what I see! I hate my face with its stupid eyes, The eyes that you called beautiful. I hate my smile now, all because of you, because you said it was so cute. I hate my ugly f*****g ears, because they listened to every f*****g lie. You used to hate it when I stood out, when I looked "troubled." But tell me this reflection, how am I supposed to blend in with my worried f*****g face, how am I supposed to dull my feelings, just so you could get a taste of normality. For over a year my identity slipped away, and now look where I am barely scraping by. Because who the f**k am I? I became we, and we became us, but looking in the mirror, its now only me. If only I could begin to scream, if only I could peel away my skin. But whats the point in pointing fingers when the hatred lies within? © 2013 Kimberley ReidAuthor's Note
