Playing with my heart

Playing with my heart

A Poem by Mae Morales

Did you really think you could just play with my heart?

Do you really think that I wouldn't put a stop to it?

The lies, the excuses; I can't believe I bought all of it.

That charm you put on me.

Why did it effect me so?

Why must I be a hopeless romantic?

Trying to find that Prince Charming.

If I keep it up, theres going to be nothing left of my heart.

Just patches of it, hanging in there by a thread.
