That One Dance

That One Dance

A Poem by Mae Morales
"

The one dance that I had with a crush of mine

"

I gently take your hand and you pull me close

I took a step back and you took a step foward.

You pull me foward and I take a step to the side

I pull you foward and you step to the side

You pull me foward once more and twirled me around and repeated that dance.

Looking into your eyes as we dance, you look back at me

I glance down at our moving feet, its like dancing on a cloud

We glide around my room dancing while our other friend stands to the side

Doing his own thing, it's like were the only people in the room.

Too bad it can't last forever

You let go of my hand and the dance continues as a solo.

I like this :) beautiful poem. The only criticism I'd make is that you should really check your work for silly mistakes. Maybe you already do and this one just slipped through the net, but I think you should just correct that one error. You put "lasat" instead of last. Other than that though, brilliant ^^
