Shame bigger than the pain,

Smile bigger than the joy.

Starting to lose my patience, waiting in vain,

Starting to feel small, your little toy.

 

If only I could blame you,

But this lack of power isn't new.

It is love's oldest way,

Or at least that's what they say.

 

You're everything I need to abhor,

My brain has fooled me once more.

Why is every pathway wrong,
