Hidden Fire

Hidden Fire

A Poem by Hannah

Bite your tongue

Don't say those words.

Hold that thought

Don't let it slip.

Red haze covers

Slitted, cold eyes.

Shh, hold back now.

Can't let them

See the way you

Feel inside.

Can't let it show.

Hide, hide it

Bury it, deep dark.

Until it fills

You with bitter

Harshness. 'Till

You snap and break.

Can't keep it

Hidden, can't let

It show. What

Am I supposed

To do?

Easy, darling.

Break and let

Everybody

Know.
