Forever DreamsA Poem by W. V. H.Companion piece of Forever Shadows“Forever Dreams” by W.V.H. 2009
“Ducunt volentem fata, nolentem trahunt”
In the magic hour of the day when the sun touches the Earth and the Moon peeks from under the ocean. This is the moment you close your eyes and drift. Away to far off exotic lands, maybe as an adventurer or celebrity. For I this is the time I find inspiration for the future. I’ve found perfection in this world a love and friendship that will never die. No emptiness or fear and loathing, just bliss pure freedom. In this time I find myself with you and conquer every challenge presented. The limitless pursuit of all things intangible and creating worlds not for personal gain but that which would perfect the world of reality. I truly cannot comprehend all of it. Only to say that the feel of it is like wearing silk and walking on clouds. The smells are aromatic of wild flowers in the morning, the candy shop you remember as a child, and warm kitchen smells of your mother’s cooking in the evening. The site of it is that is your standing on top of a mountain looking out as far as the horizon and being able to see ocean to ocean and all the land in between. Inside this place I’ll sit under a great willow tree with a quill and parchment and write. It’s that writing that I find my most secret ideas and bold thoughts. I can only impart the seriousness of dreaming it’s the gateway to creativity. If we don’t dream then there is nothing left for the future? I can only describe what I see and I can only hope that it will mean something to someone out there. © 2011 W. V. H. |
