Once lost, now found

In the darkness, you will find a man in fear.

His emotions so distorted, he is unable to shed a tear.

The future seems very bleak in his eyes.

It is only on the inside in which he cries.

 

He seems to have lost his way.

His wretched heart more fragile than clay.

He lays awake in the middle of the night.

He is unable to sleep from an unexplainable fright.

 

He longs for a way to escape this pain.

In his mind, he is going insane.

What must he do to escape this hell?

There seems to be nothing that can foretell.

 

But wait! Can it be that he has found his way?

Is it true that his heart is healing from decay?

His future seems more bright than ever before.

There has come about this woman he seems to adore.

 

She makes his days brighter and brings a smile to his face.

All he ever longs for now is her sweet embrace.

This happiness has healed his every emotion.

No longer does he feel like he's in a vast ocean.

 

Hopefully this light will remain in his life.
