A Poem by Penny
"

Love winters.

"
Reality struck me like lightning.
Trauma was much more than frightening.
Sadness was so overwhelming,
One could not keep me from breaking.

In anguish and despair,
I found no one who cared.
Even the pitiful glimpses,
Felt like angry stares.

But then I saw this scene,
Which touched me like a dream.
A tree plundered in autumn,
Lifeless, but serene.

The grayness and the gloom,
Of the mantion by the tree,
Too joined it in the lament,
And made the sorrow bloom.

Yet I fetched a smile,
From this stream of glumness.
It made me a romantic,
And left my heart in numbness.

Author's Note

Penny
I was writing a sad and depressed piece when I came across this autumn landscape and clicked its picture. Based on it, I elaborate. Also, I am studying romantic movement in college nowadays, so may be you see its influence. Hope you like it. Please be kind and rewiew.

This fell from sadness into light and joy.

I find my happiness in Jesus and what
I've been blessed with by him writing family and
Gods creations trees and the sunsets sunrises and
so much beauty health and many things he blessed us with.

This was quite Brilliant and lovely and I see what you're
saying here in this write nice work I am a hopeless romantic
I loved this thank you for sharing Be sure when you write you enjoy
doing it don't force it or push yourself where you feel worn down
I go with the flow I been writing for 28 years I was 7 when I did stories
and kept on writing from middle school high school until a adult I love
to write it is a gift from God it is all him when I write as he gives us creativity.

You're a very Talented young woman it isn't easy being a
writer but many can do it but our Talents come from the LORD.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece.

Blessings. Benita

Whether you took personal elements from yourself or based this poem entirely on the landscape is either way impressive. My first guess would have been that you were feeling neglected and had started to consider the pros of being alone, but maybe that's interpreting it too much. So, if this is merely a scene outside of yourself that you wanted to capture, more props to you. Writing tends to be stronger if you can sincerely capture things outside of yourself.
