Betray Her

Betray Her

A Poem by Harley Destiny Jean Durst
"

Poemish thing.

"
Betray the one who's kept your secrets.
Betray the one who's not said a word.
Betray the one who was your friend.
Betray the one who wanted nothing more than be yours.
Go ahead, run your mouth.
Go ahead, tell others what she's said.
It's okay, she'll still keep your secrets locked away and swallow the key.
She'll beat herself up, take the blame.
She'll remind herself to try to never trust again.
She'll bottle everything up, hold it all inside.
She won't rant, she'll let it just explode.
She still cares, don't worry.
She'll just be extremely cautious.
She'll thank you for everything you did.
This includes showing her that she can't trust many, if any.
Thank you for all you've done. I truly mean this. I will never forget, not any of it.
