Monster

This one is written from the heart.

You try to take away
his life.
Take away his
reason to fight.
You've blinded
his truth
with your lies.
You are the tears
in his eyes.
The reason why
his joy is deprived.
He no longer knows
the difference between
happiness and pain.
He has lost his grip
on all that is sane.
With you he feels so much
hate, but without you
due to dependency
you've created,
he would break.
So when he could end it all
he hesitates.
He wants to die
to leave you behind.
But deaths swift hand
Is stayed by his mind.
For he has already given
you his life
so for you
he refuses to die.
But I guess its
to late because
you've killed him inside
and I have taken his place.
It is within him I reside.
For I am the soulless monster.
