The Broken Hearts Best Remedy

Something I wrote when I couldn't sleep, I find that it holds much truth.

As I drink the elixir

made from my

broken hearts tears,

I wander how something so bitter

could have tasted so sweet.

How something that has

left me so broken,

once made me complete.

Your lips were once a seal of joy,

but now they only seal my death.

You loved me by the light of day,

but cursed me in nights stealth

The loss of your love

has left me so poor,

but it once was my wealth.

So I drink these tears

knowing they slowly

heal me.

For every tear I cry

more time passes by

till the day comes

where you fade

from my memory.
