The Greatest of Lies

The Greatest of Lies

A Poem by Gianni Rodriguez
"

This poem was written to describe the mind set of an emotionless lover who's soul purpose was to see how close the could get to someone just so they could crush them. It is one of my darker works.

"

There’s beauty in your sadness.

There’s beauty in your despair.

There’s beauty in

the fact that you thought

that I loved you,

when I never cared.

I sit and I watch

as your heart

starts to die.

I receive so much

pleasure when I hear

you cry.

I gain substance

from your tears.

I find pleasure

In your fears.

You beg for

My help,

But I pretend

Not to hear.

My lies were so

beautiful to you.

You thought them to

be more pure than

the whitest of doves.

Yes you have

confused my deception for

the truest of love.

Wow...you managed to outdo my depressing poetry. "I sit and I watch
as your heart
starts to die.
I receive so much
pleasure when I hear
you cry.
I gain substance
from your tears.
I find pleasure
In your fears.
You beg for
My help,
But I pretend
Not to hear." this is my favorite part.
