The pain of being alive

The pain kept me idle 

but just for a while 

I knew I had to change 

I knew I had to grow 

to mature 

to really know 

the truth of the world 

It can be cruel and ugly

but beautiful and lovely 

It can make you feel alive 

or struggle to survive 

You don't have a choice 

you have to keep going 

because the only other option 

will be eternity in a coffin

a harsh oxymoron. real, honest thoughts. sometimes it can feel like there's no choice. eternity is an awfully long time and no fun being cramped ... :)
