Tomorrow

Tomorrow

A Poem by Lockedheart

Ill start tomorrow
to try and heal my sorrow
for the years to follow

Its been so long
since I was happy
it used to be that no one could stop me

Now I cower at every move
with everything to lose

Free but chained
to my past
praying peace will come at last

Never really feeling safe
no one to put you in your place

You know that I would never tell
the real you that I know so well
Not because of respect
but of fear of what would happen next

Very skillfully rhymed! I like this a lot.

Nice rhythm here Lockedheart, your opening lines,
‘Ill start tomorrow
to try and heal my sorrow
for the years to follow’,

- really set the pace I felt.

Best wishes

Lathen,
