Time Divine
By: Lorraine Pearson
July 20, 2008

Whilst ocean's arms embrace
The sinking amber orb
And silhouettes of lovers
Tarry along the shore- sharing
Secret smiles in caring whispers
Seemingly speaking, "I adore…"
Inwardly I smile, knowing I've had mine-
No longer
Dare I envy the arms of the lover entwined…
For 'tis now their celebratory and glorious
Time divine.

You loved your time divine and memory of it is held dear and you celebrate their time divine...generously.

Whew Lorraine, I don't know if this is a new style for you or not but my goodness, this is remarkably good. There's a bitter-sweet quality just beneath the surface that sort of quietly flows like a gentle tide. I can see you on a small wooden deck, at the grass line on the beach. You are sitting alone enjoying the sunset and watching people walk by. You're writing of course, the afternoon breeze has all but stopped now. The Sun will dip out of sight in a few minutes and night will soon join you.
As you watch the young couple pass by... you remember. It's not a bad feeling really, but... oh... to know that delight again. It would be so nice to set the table for two tonight...
