Heavenly

Heavenly

A Poem by Lorraine Pearson

Heavenly

By: Lorraine Pearson

November 17, 2007

While I was an infant

I mourned you

Oh, sweet city of light.

In dreams,

Fleetingly,

I'd remember you.

Holding my heart

My mind

Fixated

On you.

Now,

I hear you

From the horizon

Emoting recall

As you

Deem necessary

Only as you

Can do.

I know you;

You are my home.

Eternity. I celebrate you.

This is really soothing somehow. Calming, reassuring, beautiful!

wow, this is one excellent poem, and I love the choice of picture.
This speaks lovingly of a home we all know intimately yet have forgotten.
