Blinded Soul

Blinded Soul

A Poem by Lorraine Pearson
"

Love is truly blind sometimes...

"

Blinded Soul
By: Lorraine Pearson
February 4, 2008

Blinded soul
You could not see
Blindfolded by insanity

What you believed
Was never true-
You played the fool
Then sang the blues.

In health and sickness
You fell prey
To vows
An empty heart
Did say

But...

Bereavement
Returns sanity
Unleashed soul
Now you can see!

Deliverance. No prison cell
Dawn breaks through
Your tortured hell.

Celebrate! Discovery!
Spread your wings,
You've been released!

Nice job on this one. Great flow. Perfectly placed words. I relate of course and often write on this subject. Isn't it odd how vows, prison cell, and tortured hell end up together! Nice title and positive ending. -:3 )~~~

Working through to an epiphany of light. Characterised by a renewed sense of freedom and hope.

Expressions as troubling as they are inspiring. What a wonderful truth that you made it through to the other side.

Great Work!

I like how you had "then" italicized for accentuation.....this has such a great flow to it, and some excellent phrasing....I like this very much!

This begins with punch -
"Blinded soul
You could not see
Blindfolded by insanity"
and continues with honesty -
"What you believed
Was never true-"

I really enjoyed this read.

This is great, too bad the ones who seem to need it most, fight it.
But...
Bereavement
Returns sanity
Unleashed soul
Now you can see!

Great write!
