Fly Without Mercy (In Your Dreams)A Poem by Lorne BlaineFly Fly without mercy In your dreams To the most common To the loneliest Fly Fly without mercy In your dreams
Why? Why without mercy In your dreams? Why not? Dreams are but thoughts They can't harm anyone So, in them, boundless, Why not?, my friend, why not?
Why not? Why would there be pity In your dreams? There is nobody you know There are just your thoughts There can't be less, only more, So why not? Fly Fly without mercy In your dreams.
There is nothing to sacrifice There is nothing to lose In your dreams There is everything to gain It's only when you judge them wrong When you hurt them, when you fear them Nightmares, they will become, They will become your judgements They will become your pain And they will become your fear.
That's why my friend You should never have mercy In your dreams You should never fear them You should never hurt them They will follow your actions So if you wish, and I know you do, To dwelve deeper in them, Then do it, do it, do it without mercy Your dreams will only become clearer They will be as the rising sun unveiling the shore Showing the vastness of an ocean That was unknown to you.
Fly Fly without mercy In your dreams Pursue them Chase them And be what you want them to be Because if you know no limits They won't Fly Fly without mercy In your dreams. © 2017 Lorne Blaine |
