The Next One, The Perfect OneA Poem by Lorne BlaineAnother day But the right day, you're certain; And your head up high In the clouds This day You will make The next one, And it will be The perfect one.
The sky is not a ceiling The sky is a world A big world full of things To scrutinate, to discover, A well in which you draw the fluid of inspiration, the marrow of creativity, the truth.
The truth is the release, The truth is the next one, the perfect one.
Your body as light as air you do not bend to the world anymore the world bends to you for in your passage the branches kneel and so do the flowers, and the waves of the sea are the products of your will.
And that day Oh that perfect day You made The perfect one. But then You
went to bed, and that day ended. And the next day In the night, Alone You looked back And what you saw Was just another reflection of the mirror, A flawed mess. © 2017 Lorne Blaine |
