From Here

From Here

A Poem by Lorne Blaine
"

Experimenting again.

"

Watching the light above my head

I pierce my gaze in the smallest crevasses of the walls

I hold the silence and the silence holds me

And it lifts me

Everything changed yet nothing changed

Everything is here, everything is where it's supposed to be

And I am here too, I see

And in front of me, in the walls, there are valleys

There are mountains surging out of the earth, stretching as far as the eye can see

And as boundlessly as the mind

And under me, in the wooden tiles, there is the sea

Glittering, wavering, flowing, and it's dragging everything in its charm

Even me

And the ceiling, the ceiling is the universe

I keep looking at it, the universe, and I keep getting closer to it

As what is now the distant sun looks back at me

And I see where I am in all of this

And I am so small

And I am so frail

But the earth, the earth is beautiful

She's beautiful, Earth

Especially from here

You should try to look at her this way sometimes

I swear to you, it is worth... everything
