And They Shall Open

And They Shall Open

A Poem by Lorne Blaine

What do you wish

From your mind unceasingly

Gripping tirelessly

To those ifs and maybes?

What do you wish

From your mind unrelentingly

Tugging your coiled body

In these vicious ajournments?

Over pasts admonitions

Towards dreary prospects

Left and right, those chains encircles

Your mind in perpetual cycles

What do you wish

From you fleeing

Keeping yourself at bay

From the day

For night is absolute?

Break your shackles

Take it all in

Triumphs and mistakes

And you'll gather keys

For locks finally known to you

And gates of life shall open
