Can You Feel Me Now?A Poem by Lorne BlaineApril 2016You feel me now
My presence, you've almost drown I lost count If I can even do so
You keep me now You found it... appealing Somehow You, who wish suppressing it
I'm still creeping through you Set to remain with you Over you, what you do That's what I do
Well, you do hate it But as much as welcoming it My control On your soul
Despite defying your will I'm fighting to keep you still Away from everything Away from your feelings
Now, it's overwhelming
Your nails are wearing thin I'm growing withinIt's being torn apart, your skin
I have no limit A bottomless pit You're falling in it Can you face it? I doubt it
Your conscience slips Wait, now you've faced it? You've acted on it? Of course, you did
But not without me...
Running away from things Is how i'm persisting Through all things you're making Through all of your feelings
Escaping my embrace Painted on every face Of this wretched place Cannot be erased
At least, that's what I say
You're the very essence of my existence
Of my persistence Whatever you did You were still with me
Still, keep yourself from my call
Again Like all Who are existing I'm growing from something
When you're finally acknowledging I seem to be wearing thin Your skin seems to be growing Again
But where are those things? Those roots that makes you call Are they persisting through one face?
Like I said I can be in all things Come from all places
These words evoked something strange, didn't they? Well, that's my call Can you feel me now? © 2017 Lorne Blaine |
