LostA Poem by Jane Darby
Lost, forgotten the found,
Quiet without a sound. How, then l saw, Hate without a war. Loved, held then clean, Sleep without a dream. Future, past then here. Things are never clear. Light, all l saw was light, The sky, the fields the stream, Bang, all l heard was bang, Was this a horrid dream. Smoke, all l smelt was smoke, Black and grey and near, Fire, all l saw was fire, Things are never clear.
