PerceptionsA Poem by Loribeth215I can tell you that your perceptions of me are false
I am a different person on a different day, I fade and fly and fire.
In silence, there is not weakness. In contemplation, there is not ignorance.
Like many, I stretch through my shadows every day.
I break my own rules, I grow out of my own expectations. How can I be expected to shrink and simmer and fold to yours?
I can tell you that I feel and fall and free myself from all your darkened boxes.
One day, you'll have to swallow the truth, how bitter and parched in your mouth.
Your perceptions of me are false. © 2008 Loribeth215 |
