PhasesA Poem by Loribeth215Loving you in stages like an illness progressing in phases.
first comes the denial "I don't need you." "I don't want this drug."
from your lips, the touch of your mouth binds to my flesh, a dark magic.
then this craving for you to fill the space between us
and I shake and say I'll never come back for more.
and then---- the crash I accept it I can't be without it I want what I want you have chosen me you have taken away my last protest
and then comes the ending as all things must have. the loving never goes completly but it changes it waits to infect the blood of a new host. © 2008 Loribeth215Reviews
