A Poem by Loribeth215

who do you belong to?

I'm sure there is someone at home,

who is waiting when it gets late

someone who feels your warm hands on the small of her back....

I'm sure

you're not alone when its cold outside,

and the rain is coming down,

someone pulls you close to feel your breathing...

someone must kiss those lips good night

and reach for those arms in the morning...

tell me

who do you belong to?

what lucky woman is she?

Definitely great material. I can relate to the words you've expressed because questions like these wander through my mind daily. When I drive on the highway, I always think of how amazing it is that everyone has a different place to go, a different partner, a different path in life. This is a great write. Thanks for sharing.

It has that feeling of falling from afar, which can be painful. It is interesting though, to note that this could be the quick thought at passing a stranger - it could be that person you work with. It is the wondering, knowing that there must be somebody, and perhaps that hidden hope there is not anybody... the thoughts so quick or perhaps drawn out over a period of time. Yes, I like this piece....

This is subtle and beautiful. I like the detached tone. It gives the poem a dreamy quality that is very nice. Great job!
