In these tunnels

I am swept up into the blackness

speeding through the dark

I am suddenly nothing

an element

one with the air

how I want to lose

myself

I have already

lost my way

I want to feel the speed

I want to feel the air

and I breathe

my body is so alive

but my soul is dead.

It often seems like all of our choices set us down paths that can appear as dark tunnels where we move along out of control instead of being those quaint and lovely walks in the park along some cheery worn path. We lose our way, pulled along in the flow as if our lives are completely out of control. In that moment of recognition, that moment of painful recognition, there is that desire just to disappear...

This is an excellent poetic description of emptiness. The flow and the imagery are perfect.

pretty. makes you sound like the actual air, like one of the elements. you've become one with the element. (does that make sense) whatever... i still like it.
