How hard it is

to find a calm place

inside myself, when you are there

chasing my every thought

and making me hunger for you with each breath

I could dream

but dreams are filled with shadowy images

of your face

tell me now

should I put you aside with

those that came before and have now gone

 

do I accept that some things I don't know?

some things I will never know?

when we get a taste of pure calm, happiness, the moment when everything in the universe is aligned just right all is... perfect... we chase that moment for the rest of our lives. I have made it a person quest of mine so seek out these moments, and perhaps that is not the best thing.. perhaps we need to sit back and just let the moments come.

you've painted a great picture of how a loved one lost haunts your dreams and every waking thought..
very nice imagery and great use of words here.

The use of shadowy images in the dreams, gives them that haunting feel. Trying to find that moment, just to slip away, to a place of internal calm - the loving thoughts of the one you love - but there are those lingering thoughts perhaps? I always think of shadows of doubt, when I see something like this (or think it, as the case may be)... sometimes, it is so hard to find that calm place... so hard.

in line 12 maybe you should switch "i don't know" with "some things" those lines sound off to me. but you don't have to. just a suggestion, but other than that i luv this and i sort of know how you feel. GREAT!
