I really enjoyed this. It's the struggle of what is right vs. what you actually feel. Like, I love you... but it's not right to say it. But we're going to die anyway, so I might as well say it. Loved this piece. Send more!

Eh, I'm getting rusty on my critiques, but I'll try.

Unrequited or denied love is so common nowdays, but it is always refreshing to see the different takes on it. Yours is so delicately written. I love your style in this poem. "When the shadows close around me", I haven't heard that one yet. "And death wins either way." I've been there before and sometimes feel like I'm still there. I can really relate to what it is you are conveying.
