Walking Alone

Walking Alone

A Poem by Lori

like waves assaulting the quiet shore

your words they bashed and they tore

the sun begins to fade away

takes not my memories with it

gone is another day

but the pain is here to stay

and so alone I'll walk some more

with you beside me nevermore

the moon is glowing up above

the stars they sparkle and shine

nevermore speak of love

nevermore shall you be mine

the soft wind kisses my face

and makes me long for your embrace

oh to feel your lips once more

as I walk along this rocky shore
