The Meaning of Life

The Meaning of Life

A Poem by Lori

weeping willow looking so sad

branches hanging low

moon is shinning bright tonight

makes your weeping branches glow

songbird singing in the morning light

she sings her songs and then takes flight

with freedom blowing through her wings

songbird flies and then she sings

driftwood floating on the sea

no worries, no cares just drifting free

where are we going

who's to say

so on our knees we pray and pray

perhaps there is no hell below

perhaps no heaven above

but we are here to learn one thing

we are here to learn to love
