A Creation Myth

A Creation Myth

A Story by Lorenn
"

A plausible creation myth and how people react to any mystery

"
Once upon a time the stars were ordered.
Neat.
One in line with another and another and so on.
Beyond what could be seen.
Beyond the limits of any imagination.
No one knew God.
No one knew themselves.
But they could see these stars, not even knowing what they were.
They could see them through a narrow opening in the white above them.
The white around them held nothing but discontent.
What was the purpose of their existence.
What was that narrow star-filled opening.
A place no one could reach.
A place no one could touch.
One day an idea came upon one person.
An idea that maybe there was more to it.
This person began to talk to anyone who would listen.
And soon many people looked longingly upward for the answer
To their extistance.
Soon ladders were built.
Then came all the funny little machines that propelled
Them toward the stars.
No matter.
They could never reach it.
Despair setted in all their hearts until collectively they cried out
To the beyond and rent open the hole in the white.
Suddenly life began.
The heavens spread out
And the world formed colors and shapes.
Man became herself and knew each other
Even the stars.
Now man still searches for the reason.
The God.
The Life.
Under endless canopies of stars.

Wow I liked this twist on how it all began. great imagery here...the only nit I saw was that existance is spelt with an e not an a. Other then that everything looks perfect.

Nicely done
