Childhood pt. II

Childhood pt. II

A Poem by Lore
"

Actually this was my first poem titled childhood which was the first half of a poem called life, but the second half of that poem, life, sucked, so i just kept the first half and called it childhood.

"

I contemplate on a distant past
From then till today, the change was so fast
There was no concern for the world as time passed by
Life was so simplistic, just myself and I

I remember all my fantasies
which had no limits and no boundary
When I couldn’t tell the difference
between dreams and reality
Life was a playground, where everyday I was free
and my biggest fear of all was scraping my knee

I remember learning the alphabet
And of how to be polite to people I’ve met
There was no beauty in music, just another sound heard
And struggle at that time was only but a word

Little did I know of what happened outside my community
I was a child in this world, so innocent and free
My responses were excuses and my mind so feeble

Life was life, and people were people
