Brave New World Soliloquy

Brave New World Soliloquy

A Poem by Lore

"A wretched soul, bruised with adversity. We bid be quiet when we hear it cry. "Ah, yes, gone is thy mother, gone is thy love. Is there no shine on me, from heavens eye above? Will I be forgiven for killing that w***e? Where is thy solitude, that which I came here for? They run rampant forth and back, back and forth. Get out of my head, this life what is it worth!? Thoughts of freedom in a new world deceived. So much struggle, so much pain, what have I achieved? O thou caitiff, he stripped thy lady of her freedom. Such indecency, how can she let him.  No no, the indecency, not Popé, Linda. Throwing herself at him, w***e, like Lenina. Ah, the purity of her demise. Saved from corrupted love and sent beyond the skies. "I must be cruel only to be kind, thus bad begins, and worse remains behind." Linda, oh, Linda, sweet woman who died in falsehood. Lenina, my love, bark by bark stripped off thy wood. But no,  I am not stripped wood, no, I am the Almighty. Crucified on wood, and yes, God will forgive me. Those people, they are all savages, talking about freedom, while locked in their cages. I am their Jesus, but these are modern days. They don’t worship my difference, they analyze my ways. They experiment, they poke and ridicule. No, no they do not show up front, but I am no fool. These people, they have no morals, no values, no human decency. It is all fake love, fake people, fake society. In this world, I am the only true human. But can I breathe out such proud words, after committing such a heinous sin? Marx, Helmholtz, they both kept me sane. Without them, I am one who walks with pure pain. I cannot imagine hell, a place worse than this. Yet what is heaven, all happiness and bliss?  Shameful? Never, the scapegoat for a w****s embarrassment. And too corrupted these people to accept a man so heavenly sent. Ay, we must be calm, forgive, forgive, please do forgive. What of life when suffering follows each day you live. Save my place, make way, I have earned my freedom.

Oh Brave New World, the Holy Kingdom.
