Help

Help

A Poem by Lorame

Don’t look up now

You’ll only see broken spaces

Don’t look around now

There’s only empty faces

What happened to yesterday

What happened to what you told me to say

Now I need reassurance

I work my way through without seeing

I’m feeling my way without breathing

And always, always not believing

I need your help

Don’t forget now

It should all be forgotten

Don’t have regret now

You didn’t know better then

But what happened to yesterday

What happened to have me find out this way

That now I’m going under

I take each step without knowing

If it will be the one where I’ll be going down

And never, never allowed to be slowing

To catch my breath

I need your help

I need your help

This piece is heart felt. I might re-word a few things but all in all I understood. Love can feel this way when it's not mutual.

Thanks for sharing.

At first I thought to myself that there was no overlying image of the poem. But that was simply because you did a wonderful job conveying the image of emptiness.
The poem had sort of a meloncholic, lyrical sense to it. And toward the end I got that rush of falling when you repeated "I need your help"
Well done. :D

I don't exactly get the story.

I mean I get the general gist; your character needs help. The person he/she needs help from is nowhere to be found. Again makes me think. Not in a bad way, but more of a "what's-the-background?" sort of way.

Good job nonetheless!!
