Something She tried to say..

I whispered my Agony                        

And you did not hear               

So I shouted at the top of my lungs

For you to appear

When you came I was so weak

You could barely see me

And you could not understand

 

I said this wouldn’t kill me, no

I said I would believe I would get through

But what I couldn’t tell you, oh

Is that there is damage I can’t undo

I am not what I was before

And I’m sorry

But I can’t do this anymore

 

I showed you my Broken Heart

For you to mend

Just for a moment I pushed all away

So I could pretend

But too soon I could feel the lie

Eating at my soul

You still could not understand

You don't hide in this poem. It's very true and raw. Whoever I read the "oh" at the end of a line it was almost like a moan of pain echoing through my brain.

I like this poem. It's very deep and very true. I forgot the name for a 7-line stanza poem, but it's well structured to fit the mood, the use of words like "no" and "oh" definitely brought it out, and the last two lines are powerful.
