We seemed to walk so long side by side
But the road we’ve walked has become so wide
The space between us begins to divide
I can’t feel you by me anymore

Now I see you straying off the track
Nothing I do can seem to bring you back
Farther away you head down a path that’s black
I can’t feel you with me anymore

My heart returns to when you walked with me
But it only hurts it when I can see
The road beside me now is so empty
I can’t feel you near me anymore

So my heart searches and travels ahead
Hoping one day you will be there instead
By my side again on this road I tread
I long to walk it together
