TrialsA Poem by LookwithinsightI haven't posted any poems in a while, but check this one out!Stars. Balls of gas. Grid marks. Sky map. Stars, gazing, peering, searing holes in my eyes. If you can stare at me like I’m Orion’s belt or a thread in his jeans. If you can look into my eyes and feel this burning heat, you’ll see I’m empty. If you can fill my pupils with love, I know you can. Dark orbs expand at the thought of holding your hand. I know you can, but will you? Miles. Yards. Trials. Hearts. Despite the piles of regret flowing over my head, I still stride. I still walk with ill pride. Ill heart and ill mind. I still look at the real sky. I realize that stars are balls of gas. They’re simply just that. © 2015 LookwithinsightReviews
